We should be proclaiming that there is something different and abstractly separated from the present life of darkness." Beautiful.

Blessings.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08034192017775511612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3563948728142405444.post-38757708144019467432013-02-11T13:11:40.547-05:002013-02-11T13:11:40.547-05:00"Can I tell a lost person that Jesus died for..."Can I tell a lost person that Jesus died for them?" - I loved your brief answer on this. But I think it does beg to question why this is becoming such an important question. And I truly think that the answer is found in our individual, material and humanistic society impacting our culture.

Because these principally atheistic world views our impacting our culture, the church is trying to respond truthfully to them. But with the gospel we shouldn't be responding. We should be proclaiming that there is something different and abstractly separated from the present life of darkness.

Peace.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05318629610476283557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3563948728142405444.post-69039474455760071892013-02-11T12:13:39.295-05:002013-02-11T12:13:39.295-05:00We tell them that Christ died for them (that's...We tell them that Christ died for them (that's the truth of it, according to the Bible).

We don't try and turn the gospel on it's head by then turning the promise (see above) into the law, by making the whole thing hinge on a decision that the sinner must make. (God already made the decision - on the cross -see above).

And then we let the Spirit work that Word (that we spoke to the sinner) in whatever way He chooses, in the life of that sinner.

God is a real God. He actually does act (Romans 1:16) in His Word.

Thanks.Steve Martinhttp://theoldadam.com/noreply@blogger.com
